Electronic Arts — Interview Sidekick
A mobile-optimized hiring experience for EA — built to shorten a 2–3 month time-to-hire without losing the brand candidates already know.
Overview
Interview Sidekick is a mobile-optimized web application developed by EA. The app consists of three components: a consumer-facing application, a content management system, and analytics.

Why Sidekick? — Problem
To attract and recruit the best possible talent, EA needs to build a seamless end-to-end hiring experience. The experience design must represent the iconic EA brand which conveys its purpose and beliefs. However, the time to hire easily takes about 2–3 months.
A candidate said it plainly: “Something that could be improved upon is, ‘when am I going to get an offer?’” — Yolan C, Candidate.
Solution Hypothesis
Optimize every aspect of the hiring process: improve the hiring process for everyone, attract and hire the best talent, amplify the team's efficiency and business impact, measure and iterate on the hiring process, integrate gr8 people (recruitment vendor), and design a mobile-first web app for the candidate experience.

Screens — Employer Brand
A second hypothesis: if the value proposition is part of the content itself, EA can reinforce its brand while improving the candidate experience — filling the talent pipeline with qualified candidates and reducing offer declines.

Approach — Research Synthesis
Dashboard and employer-brand enhancement ideas were mapped out as mind maps, tracing every touchpoint from initial hiring-process quality down to specific engagement and reminder mechanics.

Outcome
A mobile-first hiring app that puts EA's candidate experience — and the brand behind it — ahead of the wait between application and offer.
